ARCANO XIII - TICs

La Compañía de Danza TICs, de reciente creación, está vinculada a la escuela de danza del mismo nombre y la dirige Patricia Varela, bailarina formada en Escola Superior de Dança de Lisboa y en el Institut del Teatre de Barcelona.
En el ARCANO XIII ellas fueron el entremés de la pieza, nos trajeron danza contempóranea, teatro, música gallega y portuguesa,... Y nuestra visión gallega de la vida, y de la muerte, mezclando el más profundo pesar, con la sorna y el sarcasmo.

TICs Dance Company, recently created, is related to the dance school with the same name and directed by Patricia Varela, dancer who has studied at Escola Superior de Dança de Lisboa and the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona.
In ARCANO XIII they were the break in the classical piece, they brought contemporary dance, theatre, Gallician and Portuguese musics,... And our Galician view of life, and death, mixing the deepest sorrow and the derison and sarcasm.

Una historia que ofrecemos a los amantes de la música, la danza, la
poesía, la pintura, la fotografía, el teatro,... Del arte, al fin.
Así nos mostramos, todos los que participamos en esta creación, con el alma desnuda y el corazón abierto.

This is the summary of a story made by legends, fire, longing, search, sarcasm, sweetness, light,...

A story offered to music lovers, dance lovers, poetry lovers, painting photography and theatre lovers... Art lovers, eventually.

 This is how we showed ourselves, all of us who have been a part in this creation, with a naked soul and an open heart.

Muchos creen saber cuál es el Arcano XIII, la muerte en el Tarot.
Lamento contrariarles, pero no es así. El Arcano XIII es el Arcano sin
nombre.
En el tarot todas las cartas tienen nombre y número, excepto dos: el Loco no tiene número, y el Arcano XIII no tiene nombre.

Good night ladies and gentlemen. Wellcome to ARCANO XIII.

Many of you think to know what the ARCANO XIII is, death in the Tarot. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it is not like that. Arcane 13 is nameless arcane.

All the cardas have a name and a number in the tarot, except for two: the Madman has no number, and the arcane 13 has no name.

La compañía de danza TICs que dirige Patricia Varela en Ourense, lleva funcionando como tal desde el año 2012, aunque la experiencia y formación de sus miembros, en diferentes disciplinas de danza y teatro, viene de mucho antes.

Patricia Varela es Licenciada en Danza por la Escola Superior de DanÇa de Lisboa, y por el Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, además de ser postgraduada por INEF Coruña en Expresión Artística y Danza.

En el año 2012 abrió su propia escuela y desde entonces se dedica junto a sus compañeras de la compañía de danza, a formar a otros bailarines y a continuar expresándose en sus propias creaciones teatrales y contemporáneas.

TICs Dance Company, directed by Patricia Varela in Ourense, has existed as such since 2012 although their members'  experience and expertise on several dance disciplines and theatre comes from much longer.

Patricia Varela has a Degree on Dance by the Escola Superior de DanÇa de Lisboa, and by the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. She also has a Postgraduate on Art Expression and Dance by INEF Coruña.

She opened her own school in 2012 and has devoted herself, along with her dance partners, to training other dancers and to continuing with the expression of their own theatrical and contemporary dance creations.
